Information & FAQ's

Vamos GPS has spent months selecting what we believe to be the best Points Of Interest in the region. Nearly 200 personalised Points Of Interest, photos of the locations, descriptions, information and telephone numbers have been installed on each GPS. Accompanying the GPS, is a detailed guide book for clients to read about each location.

For tourists to succesfully explore this region they need:

1)    A hire car
2)    Advice on the best places to visit
3)    A product that will guide them to these places

With Vamos GPS you can forget about complicated directions, Google maps and laborious map reading. The GPS takes clients to the door and even supplies them with descriptions, images, information and phone numbers of each location or activity.

Where can I rent it?

If you are staying on the Costa de la Luz, you can currently rent ¡Vamos! GPS by contacting 0034 956107599. We will deliver your GPS direct to your accommodation. As time goes on, ¡Vamos! How does it work?

Vamos GPS works just like a normal Garmin GPS device. However we have installed nearly 200 Point’s of Interest (with images, descriptions & telefone numbers) in English and Spanish in its “Extras” section.
The Points of Interest are made up of 12 categories: Activities, bodegas, celebrations, clever parking, equestrian, flamenco, golf courses, restaurants, secret beaches, tapas bars, tourist offices, watersports.

Finding the Vamos GPS Points of Interest: explained in the guidebook
Changing the language: explained in the guidebook
Lost satelite reception: explained in the guidebook. In order for the GPS to position itself correctly you need to be outside in an open space. You can use it inside to browse Points of Interest and information. But restart it before reaching your car so it can search for satelites again.

2 ways of browsing your Points of Interest:
1) Use the guidebook to search by TOWN OR CITY
2) Use the GPS to search by CATEGORY or by DISTANCE FROM YOUR CURRENT POSITION

Why do we need the printed guide?

Not everyone is an expert in computing or GPS. But everyone knows how to read a guidebook. We have created the Vamos GPs guidebook to help clients navigate and understand their GPS device. By simply reading the first few pages, it becomes clear how the GPS works and exactly what it can do for them.

What if I need technical support?

If there is a problem with your GPS device you can phone 956107599. We will attempt to supply you with a replacement device Within 24 hours of you calling us. In the meantime we will examine the problematic GPS device and attempt to repair it.

What area does Vamos GPS cover?

Vamos GPS uses the Garmin map of the Iberian peninsula (Spain & Portugal). But our guidebook and personalised points cover Cádiz Province, the town of Ronda and the city of Seville

How exact are the roadmaps?

We believe that Garmin has the best road cartography available for the Iberian peninsula. The maps we offer you are all current and we promise to update each GPS device you rent from us each time a new map becomes available.
Please be aware that every day new roads are built or current roads are altered. Very occasionally your GPS device may not recognise a road. This is either becuase the road is new or altered and this has yet to be registered with Garmin, or the road is a minor C or D road that has not been included in Garmin’s cartography due to its relative insignificance
